Anita’s Mayonnaise

My mother, Anita’s recipe. This is the perfect dressing for potato salad, lobster salad and lobster sandwiches.


4 tbsp sugar
1/4 rsp prepared mustard
2 tbsp flour
dash salt
slight amount of cold water
1 egg
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup milk


Combine the sugar, mustard, flour and salt together in a small saucepan.
Add small amount of water to mixture to form a smooth paste.
Mix into this mixture egg, vinegar and milk.
Cook slightly while stirring.
Once cooked cool in fridge.
