Root veggies that you like (potatoes, carrots, turnip, onion, parsnips, etc), chopped that amount to enough to fill slow cooker to the 3/4 mark.
1/2-1 lb cubed meat of your choice. I use a small pot roast, steak or stew beef.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Montreal steak spice to taste.
2 pkgs powdered bouillon mix (beef flavour).
1 can cream of tomato soup.
1 can cream of mushroom soup.
Fill slow cooker with veggies.
Sprinkle salt and pepper and bouillon mix on top.
Stir the spices into the vegetables.
Place meat on top of vegetables.
Sprinkle with more salt, pepper & Montreal steak spice.
Cover meat layer with 1 can each of cream of tomato and cream of mushroom soup
Make a small indentation to the side of the pot and pour in water from can to go up to 3/4 of the side of the veggies. (If you pour it on top of the soup, it just lays there).
Cover and cook in the slower cooker for the day at low setting or for the afternoon at high setting. Stir before serving.
