We usually don’t have much time for mid season maintenance. If I get a chance and at a dock, I may take out the wood refinishing products and utensils and continue to remove the chipped off Cetol and replace it with hand rubbed oil. It isn’t a job that lends itself well to windy conditions and the work is best done on a hot sunny day. A hot sunny day at a dock is generally non existent.
I do try to get a chance to do a major wash down of the cockpit occasionally. It is a good chore to keep a child entertained for awhile. It gives them a chance to play with bubbles and water!
I routinely check the rigging, stanchions and lifelines. I am always checking the outside lights.
